For a century the Rigney has served as a cultural and civic touchstone and a centerpiece of life in downtown Albany, Missouri. The Albany Community Development Corporation is developing plans to restore the iconic Rigney Theater building into a multi-use facility, allowing future generations to continue to create new memories at the Rigney. 

The Albany Legacy Fund has received a NEW challenge for a $50,000 matching grant from the Patterson Family Foundation. We have 30 days to raise the funds, beginning June 22, 2026 and ending July 18, 2026. Every dollar raised, up to $50,000 will be doubled. 

Funds raised will be put toward the restoration of the Rigney Theater. While this will not be enough to fully restore the structure, it will be of great assistance. Donations will continue to be accepted at any time, and your continued support is appreciated!
